By-Laws and Guidelines
ARTICLE
I MEMBERSHIP
Section
1
Only
travel trailers, 5th
wheel
trailers, tent trailers, pickup campers, motor home type campers, and
tents to be used, hereinafter referred to as Campers.
Section
2
Campers
must be powered by a Ford Motor Company product, other than motor
homes and/or comparable towing vehicle equipment not available for
purchase and manufactured by Ford Motor Company. New members may be
accepted for a period of one year before they will be required to own
one of the said powered or towing vehicles. The Executive Board will
retain the right of approval.
Section
3
Prospective
members are required to make one scheduled campout after which
application for membership may be made. This application is subject
to approval of the Executive Board.
Section
4
Membership
will be determined by a vote of the Executive Board. Refer to Article
III of the Ford Wagon Train Constitution.
Section
5
Suspension
or expulsion of a member or officer of the Ford Wagon Train will be
determined by a unanimous vote of the present Executive Board. Refer
to Article III of the Ford Wagon Train Constitution.
ARTICLE
II DUES
Section
1A
Regular
dues shall be Twenty dollars ($20.00) per year, payable on or before
January 1st of each year.
Section
1B
Dues
for Ford Motor Company retired members; after having paid regular
dues for two consecutive years; shall be one/half (1/2) regular dues.
Section
1C
Anyone
who stores equipment, Millionaires Party Supplies, sells tickets, or
coordinates tickets for the club will be exempt from paying the
yearly dues fee.
Section
2
Fees
for first time members shall be the regular dues plus cost of
required insignia packet the above fees shall constitute dues for the
current year unless received after September 1st, and then the dues
shall be considered for the following year.
Section
3
Any
member delinquent as of the changeover meeting shall be considered
not in good standing. Reinstatement shall commence upon receipt of
current years dues.
Section
4
These
dues shall be placed in the general treasury.
ARTICLE
III MEETINGS
Section
1
The
annual meeting shall be in the morning of the last scheduled campout
in October.
Section
2
The
time of the meeting place shall be selected by the executive board.
Section
3
There
shall be a meeting at all regular campouts.
Section
4
All
members (as defined in Article III of the Constitution) are entitled
to vote on all matters brought before the General Membership. The
spouse of said member is also entitled to vote.
ARTICLE
IV CAMPOUTS
Section
1
There
shall be at least seven scheduled campouts each year, April through
October on the third Friday of each month, except when superseded by
the national rally and/or holidays
Section
2
The
place of the campouts shall be approved by the executive board.
Section
3
The
yearly schedule shall be supplied to the members no later than the
changeover meeting.
Section
4
Regardless
of campground rules, all dogs that are brought to monthly outings
must be on a 6 foot lead/leash at all times including at your
campsite, and should not be left unattended.
ARTICLE
V ELECTION PROCEDURE
Section
1
Nominations
for the officers shall be made by the past Wagon Master and from the
floor at the annual meeting.
Section
2
A
ballot shall be provided for all elections when more than one
candidate is nominated; otherwise, that candidate shall be declared
elected by acclamation.
Section
3
All
ballots shall be counted at the annual meeting by at least two
members appointed by the Past Wagon Master. The ballots must be
destroyed the same day.
Section
4
The
candidate receiving the largest number of votes of the members
present shall be elected.
ARTICLE
VI OFFICER QUAUFICATIONS
Section
1
The
offices of the Ford Wagon Train may be held in this order:
Current
Ford employees
Current
Ford Subsidiary, Division, and/or Partnership employees
Retirees
of the above mentioned groups
Any
other active adult member of the Ford Wagon Train
Section
2
There
shall be only one (1) elected officer per family member.
Section
3
No
officer can hold office in any other travel trailer club.
Section
4
No
officer shall be eligible for "the same office for more than two
(2) consecutive terms.
Section
5
Newly
elected officers shall be installed at the annual change over meeting
in March. Their term shall extend from the start of that meeting
until the changeover meeting the following year.
ARTICLE VII STANDING
COMMITTEES
There
may be the following standing committees, appointed by the Wagon
Master
and approved by the Executive Board. This will also include any other
committees that are considered necessary.

• Membership
• Food
Advisors for Breakfast/Dinner
• Photographer
• Entertainment
• Adult
Advisors for Preps, Pre-teens, Teens
• Wagon
Master Ball
• Tickets/FERA
representative
• Property

ARTICLE VIII GUEST
TRAILERS
Section
1
Any
member may invite guest trailers and the member shall be responsible
for informing his guests of rules, regulations and customs.
Section
2
Guest
trailers shall be construed to be friends of members in good
standing.
Sections
3
Guest
trailers need not be employees of the Ford Motor Company.
Section
4
Guest
trailers may be excluded at specific campouts or as deemed necessary
by the action of the executive board.
ARTICLE
IX CHANGES TO BY-LAWS
Section
1
Any
proposed changes to these By-Laws must be submitted in writing to the
Recording Secretary at least 90 days prior to the meeting where they
will be voted on. The Recording Secretary shall record and forward
the same to the Executive Board.
Section
2
Changes
recommended by the By-Laws Committee must be submitted by the By-Laws
Committee in writing to the General Membership 30 days prior to the
regular meeting.
Section
3
These
By-Laws may be amended by a simple majority of eligible voters
present at any regular meeting.
ARTICLE
X APPENDIX
Section
1
Roberts
Rule of Order Revised shall be used to decide all questions.
Section
2
Changes
to the By-Laws shall become effective at the first regular meeting
following their approval, unless specifically stated otherwise.
ARTICLE
XI Guidelines
Section
1
The
guidelines were created as a day to day list of processes which would
be used to allow the club to change with the times as needs arise.
They would be a "Go To" on how to handle day to day
situations so the club can remain consistent with policies.

Guidelines
Age
Groups (Must be the age during the Rally)
No
Teen activity or outing shall take place without Teen Advisor or
adult Club Member who is 21 years of age or older supervising said
outing. The Teen Activity must have the Teen Advisor or Adult Club
Member 21 years of age accompany them in order to use teen funds for
the activity/outing. If the Teen Advisor or Adult Club Member over
21 is not in attendance, it will not be considered a FWT teen
outing/activity. Each teen will have a hold harmless Agreement
Signed by a parent or guardian, and on file with the club.
